Flower Festival

(some pictures of the Bloemenstoet in Ternat on 1 June 1998.)

This cute Japanese tower was crafted by the folkloristic flower decorations group "De Meiklokjes", modelled on the Japanese Tower in Brussels. The Kampai Budokai was mobilised to provide an additional Japanese flavour.

Left is a picture of the original Japanese Tower, behind the Chinese Pavillion. On your right you can see what wearing a hakama over a yukata looks like (it was hot, but still...). Nice tsuba pattern though.
